Volunteering Opportunity

Boys Youth Worker Volunteer

Haaya Boys Group is looking for enthuatics voulnteers to become apart of a very successfull Group. Haaya works with young people from all religious backgrounds or ethnic backgrounds particulary vulnerable, disadvantaged and deprived young people. We aim to support and develop young peoples personal, social and academic skills  by empowering them and giving them a voice of thier own, through engaging with young people in a varitey of activites, advice sessions and workshops.

 

Vounlteers will be asked to engage with young people in activities during sessions. Activtives include: Open Dissussions on Family, Friendships, Education, Food and Healthy Living, CV Advice and Guidance and more. Creative Activities such as Origami, Arts and Crafts, T-shirt painting and more. Other Activities include Cooking, Film night, Basketball, Music, Dodgeball and more. Vounlteers will be asked to engage with young people during such tasks and/or supervise young people whilst they partake in tasks

 

Girls Youth Worker Volunteer

Haaya has reopened it’s Girls Group and is offering enthuatics or interseted voulnteers the oppurtunity to become apart of shaping and defining its Girls Group. Haaya works with young people from all religious backgrounds or ethnic backgrounds particulary vulnerable, disadvantaged and deprived young people. We aim to support and develop young peoples personal, social and academic skills  by empowering them and giving them a voice of thier own, through engaging with young people in a varitey of activites, advice sessions and workshops.

 

Activities during sessions include: Open Dissussions on Family, Friendships, Education, Food and Healthy Living, CV Advice and Guidance and more. Creative Activities such as Origami, Arts and Crafts, T-shirt painting, Jewellery making and more. Other Activities include Cooking, Hair and Beauty, Film night, Netball, Music, Dodgeball and more. Vounlteers will be asked to engage with young people during such tasks and/or supervise young people whilst they partake in tasks. Sessions start at 5pm and end at 7pm however voulnteers are expected to arrive at 4.45pm to help set up and leave at 7.15 pm to debrief and pack away.

Website, Facebook and Media Assisant

Haaya is looking for a motivated and dynamic person who can work both indepently and as part of a team. The ideal Media Assisant would enjoy updating social media sites and have good knowledge of the web, be organised and committed to maintaining the high standards of service that Haaya aims to provide.

 

What Skills, Experience and Other Requirements Would a Volunteer Need Before Applying?

 

We would like vounlteers to have some experiance in voulnteering/working with young people however it is not compulsory.

 

HAAYA offers training and mentoring to all our volunteers. We abide by our equal rights and data protection policies and have regular supervision chats to ensure both HAAYA and the volunteers are benefiting from the role.

 

 

We register all our volunteers with the London Borough of Hounslow Volunteer’s list where you your DBS (perviosuly known as CRB) will be submitted free of charge and you will receive information through HAAYA about training and possible opportunities.

What Arrangements Are in Place for Volunteers Interested in This Role.

 

We appriate that volunteers give up there time. Hence we refund travel expences with proof or receipt.
