HAAYA Receives BCBN Grant Award

Haaya trustees Temoor Khan and Suhel Miah attended the Inaugural Better Community Business Network Grant Initiative Awards on Wednesday 3rd of September at the KPMG central London offices, to receive a special cheque of £3000 for the HAAYA Saturday Supplementary School.

The school aims to change attitudes towards learning, build self-esteem and raise academic and general standards of underachieving youngsters aged 11-18 years from minority ethnic communities in the Hounslow and surrounding boroughs of West London.Haaya’s application was selected from amongst numerous received and the cheque was presented by the Rt Hon. Dominic Grieve QC MP.

Haaya Trustee Temoor Khan said, ‘The Better Community Business Network is a pioneering and truly philanthropic concern, whose noble aims to selflessly support grassroot charities and organisations is highly praiseworthy, this award will go a long way in supporting many young people towards a better education.
